David Whiting Rides Again

David Whiting, who covered our first race in the Orange County Register , as he raced his first Mountain Bike race, rode again yesterday and turned in a time…after suffering a broken seatpost in August 26 race.  David looks like he’ll be an Over the Hump presence in next summer’s series.

David wrote a plug for yesterday’s race. Check it out here: http://www.ocregister.com/articles/race-lake-top-2565399-bike-one

No nasty ones, and we appreciate the grace, as it was our first race at our Irvine Lake course. However the constructive comments have led to some marked improvements; here are 3

Course is coming together

Dalin, Mykyta, Dave, Minh, Tran, and John.

23 days left to Race Day #1: August 26.

Saturday, August 1st was a productive workday. A clean and fast 1/2 mile of single track is now ready to ride, thanks to a  quick 3 hour session of hard work, from these guys.  We now have 4 miles of the trail defined and ready to ride. Just a small bit of trail cleaning to do later this week, and the course will be 100% rideable.

The piece [...]
